EPEC UL 891 LV AC Switchboards
EPEC UL 891 Certified Switchboards (SWBD) have powered over 1GW of data centers and utility-grade solar farms. Tier 1 developers, engineers, and EPCs have validated their unmatched performance and reliability in challenging environments.
EPEC’s SWBD family is custom-built, ranging from 400A to 6000A and supporting voltages from 208VAC to 800VAC. The SWBDs are UL 891 certified, built in North Carolina, and have industry-leading ETAs of 16 weeks (1200A RPP) and 24 weeks (4000A & 6000A modular SWBD). They feature an innovative, compact design that delivers exceptional value and has garnered praise from top engineers and developers.

EPEC 1200A-6000A Modular SWBD
(lead time 24 weeks)
Designed from the ground up for utility BESS applications, the modular designs let you add sections as needed. For example, multiple main sections (M-T-M) up to 6000A. GenSET, feeder sections, controls… Its modular design ensures it can meet your BESS projects needs now and in the future. Pictured below (4) EPEC 4000A modular SWBD with dual 4000A breakers, plus ATS, controls… powers a 200MWhr project in the Southwest.


​EPEC 1200-4000A SWBD
(lead time 24 weeks with room to expedite)
Available with a Main Breaker or Main Lug only, it was designed from the ground up for demanding applications. Available in NEMA 1 or NEMA 3R. Expedited options are available.

​EPEC 400-1200A SWBD
(lead time 16 weeks)
Available with either a 1200 or 1500A bus and up to (45) poles of circuit breakers, it arrives with a small footprint. Typically deployed on BESS sites to power the BESS HVAC.


EPEC AC Aux Distribution Panel 400-600A, 480/277VAC
(Lead time 12-16 weeks)

UL Certified AC auxiliary distribution panels designed and manufactured for distributing power to HVAC and lighting loads in BESS applications. Main breaker or MLO options with 50kAIC@ 480VAC. These panels are thermally engineered for demanding applications, utilize electronic trip breakers &/or TKM MCCBs, and are physically oversized for installation/cable flexibility.

EPEC XFMR/SWBD SKIDS
We also offer custom XFMR/SWBD skids, with the SWBD close-coupled to the MVT. Industry leaders prefer these modularized skids because they can enhance project QA/QC and streamline construction timelines, which saves you time and money. The typical 2.5MW power block (2500KVA MVT direct bus to EPEC 4000A SWBD) is shown below.

Custom 3-phase dry-type Line Reactor for mission-critical data center applications. They are 100% American- made and custom-engineered to your specs up to 45kV with a 22–24-week lead time. Given the long lead time and high cost of Static Transfer Switches, this line reactor is an elegant alternative.
